Please continue to pray for my mom. She is still at the Mayo Clinic hospital in Florida. She will have a meningeal biopsy, either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Mom had a few MRIs last week, and we found out that she has spine compression fractures. She is wearing a lumbar brace now.
Her spinal fluid continues to be tested and the inflammatory markers are consistent with chronic meningitis. More tests are pending about that.
And they are also exploring if she may have a disease that hasn’t been treated yet.
So please keep on praying for Mom and for her whole medical team. Everyone is trying hard. We all need answers. Thanks!
This song, “Pony,” is a favorite of mine & Mom’s. We found this song in the summer of 2015 when we went to see Australian singer/songwriter, Kasey Chambers, perform in Atlanta. Mom is a huge Kasey Chambers fan. I would hear my mom play those recordings, and Kasey’s music grew on me, too. By the time I was at the concert, I recognized many of those songs that Kasey was singing. But this one called “Pony,” I had never heard before that concert. But by the time she got through with that first yodel, I said to myself, “I have got to learn how to sing that song and do that one with my band!” We hope you enjoy our rendition of “Pony.”
Thank you for caring!
Mom is still in the Mayo Clinic hospital, and I’ll be spending time with her there this week. Please get her & her medical team “prayed up.” She will have cranial surgery sometime this week. 🧠 🙏 ✝️ 💕
Mom has been my #1 focus, but would y’all please continue to pray for my Uncle Vincent? He has been in kidney failure; and has gone from the hospital, to rehab, to back at hospital. Don’t quote me on exact dates (‘cause all of my energy and leads have been on Mom), but I believe for approx. 2-months, he has had no appetite. I believe he finally got a feeding tube in place to help him. Please hold him up in prayer. Just like my mom, he is a very independent, hard-working person. Like my mom, his life’s work has always been devoted to helping others. Like my mom, there will be stars in his crown for people that he helped that we will never have a clue about because their humble spirits never talked about it.
Some of y’all may have heard that my mom got to come home to Augusta, GA last Friday. She had been in Florida for 6-months. I didn’t post this because I have been so busy with her. Although we were grateful to have her home, each day got harder. So today, we took her back to Jacksonville. She is being admitted to The Mayo Clinic Hospital tonight. She has an infection and changes in her brain ventricles. Please continue to pray for her & all of us. We love her so much, and we just want her to get her health & her life back. Thank you for your prayers!
I had a very happy birthday and Easter with my mom. I’m so thankful to The Lord for that. I didn’t get on Facebook because I wanted to give her my undivided attention. I do plan to catch up with y’all and what I’ve missed. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be going with Mom to another followup doctor’s appointment at Mayo Clinic. Please continue to pray for her. Please pray that God will strengthen her with every passing day, that He will heal her body, and shield her from all harm. Thank y’all for caring & praying!
Mom was transported to Brooks Rehab Hospital today (Jacksonville, Florida). Please pray for all to go well for her there.
In the video below, Eryn Eubanks sings “This Is Amazing Grace,” with special appearances by Maybelle, “The Mighty Mouse Killer” (March 14th, 2022).
Thank y’all for praying for Mom. She is not on the ventilator. She came out of the ICU today and is in a regular room at the Mayo Clinic Hospital (Jacksonville, FL). There is talk of her going to the rehab hospital soon. We praise The Lord for the progress. Please continue to pray for God to heal, strengthen, & shield my mom... May infections stay off of her, muscles wake up, and damage be undone, in Jesus’ Name, Amen. (These photos are from of The Family Fold’s fondest St. Patrick’s Day memories. We pray you are having a grand holiday today!)
Mom is going back to the ICU and back on the ventilator.
Mom is still in the hospital at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She was able to have her shunt surgery. It went well, and I got to talk with her on the telephone. But over the past several days, she clammed up and wouldn’t talk to anyone. This weekend, she really hasn’t been waking up or responding. So, tonight (Sunday 03/13/2022) she is going back to ICU. Since she is so unresponsive, she will be put back on the ventilator to protect her airways. She may have another central nervous system infection going on. (I hate infections!) Also, she will have a new feeding tube placed at her stomach since her appetite did not return.
Thank y’all for praying hard for my mom. Please keep on. My heart hurts for her because she is my mom, she is my best friend, she is my band mate, she’s my music ministry career partner, she’s my sidekick, she’s my nurse, she has always been a part of my everyday life all throughout the day… She’s so smart, strong, talented, beautiful, good hearted, loyal, loving… I want her back, full force… Thanks again for all of your prayers!
“Had it not been for a place called, ‘Mount Calvary,’
Had it not been for the old rugged cross,
Had it not been for a man called, ‘Jesus,’
Then forever my soul would be lost.”
Yesterday (Tuesday 03/01/2022) I was told that the plan was for Mom to have 2 shunts placed on Thursday. Today (Wednesday 03/02/2022) Mom’s pre-op COVID test came back positive. (“What?!?”) Right now, I do not know whether or not she will still have surgery tomorrow. Please just continue to pray hard for my mom. I want her to be well and for us to get back to playing our music together. My heart aches for her. Thank y’all for caring and praying!
The Family Fold was blessed to have Ms. Irene dance to our music! On Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 she crossed over… She is dancing again with Mimmie in Heaven now. Please remember Ms. Irene’s family in your prayers… Especially her son, Wayne.
The Family Fold has new t-shirts available… And there are more designs to come! Contact us if you’re interested.
We want to hear from you… What’s a prayer request that took over your life for a season that is now a praise report? As many of y’all know… For me, I went through a scary time with my heart in September 2019. In the most fearful times, I wondered if I would ever feel normal and safe again. Today, I had a good yearly check up with cardiologist… Praise God! The Lord brought me through all of that. ♥️ Leave us some encouragement. Please share your stories with us… eryneubanks@me.com
Tests are being done on Mom’s brain to see how the fluid is flowing from one side to the other. This will give the doctors at Mayo a better plan on how to proceed after the external ventricle drains, whether she would need one shunt or two, etc. Please continue to pray that The Lord will guide everyone on the best path for Mom’s health and future. Thank you all for your prayers!
When Mom received her antibiotics through her 2 external ventricle drains (brain drains), we all had red caps on. The doctors here at Mayo Clinic say that giving the medicine “intrathecally” is something cutting edge. They don’t use that method lightly, but this bacteria on Mom’s brain was so vicious, it needed to be treated aggressively. So that’s a reason why my #1 prayer request right now is for “infections to go away and stay away from Mom.” God, please let that be done, and please bless all of the efforts the medical team are making… In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Big thanks to everyone that has donated to Mom’s fund! It’s a great help to her, and it’s really touched her, how y’all have wanted to help her like this. Thank you!

My mom, Ricie Eubanks, has been away from home (Augusta, Georgia) for medical treatment in Jacksonville, Florida since October 31st, 2021. Our family has made many journeys there ever since to visit her. It’s a 5-hour drive, and we stay 4-5 nights in a hotel. We do this every other week, sometimes more if an emergency is happening. Needless to say, those numbers and expenses add up quickly! I’ve taken care of my mom for over a year as she has gone through her medical problems, and I will keep doing my best to be there for her now. I’ve created a “GoFundMe” page for her, and you can view it by clicking the button above or below. If you feel compelled to give, it would be a great help. Most of all, please pray for my mom to get well and stay well. Thank you! God bless you, and always remember… GOD LOVES YOU!!!

Last Friday (February 4th, 2022) was one year to date since my mom was first rushed to the hospital because something was going wrong with her… What a year it has been! Well, last Friday found us being rushed to the hospital, but this time it was back to The Mayo Clinic. We thank God that she was able to get back there.
Overnight, Mom got to where she wasn’t alert or talking to me. She would keep her eyes shut and she was quivering. A CT of her head revealed that her brain ventricles had gotten enlarged, so the rehab facility sent for an ambulance to take us to Mayo Clinic’s ER. We found out that Mom got a bacteria infection that had affected her shunt. They had to remove that shunt and install an external ventricle drain. She is in the ICU, and they are treating her with strong antibiotics. Since she was not very alert, they put her on a ventilator because they didn’t want her to aspirate. Also, the doctor said that she has a little pneumonia, but she does not have COVID (praise God).
They are going to do an MRI of her brain today to make sure there isn’t an abscess. They do plan to wean her off of the sedation and ventilator over the next days or so. Please just continue to pray hard for my mom. It’s been very scary how quickly all of this happened. Please pray for infections to go away and stay off of her. We will all keep on praying, believing, and pressing on. We’ll keep working on getting her better. Thank y’all for holding her in your prayers.
