Eryn Eubanks & The Family Fold

We’re grateful for another opportunity to play live music for you!

June 24, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

My guitarist & I are happy to be back playing some more live music for St. Paul’s Celtic Service on Sunday (June 27th) at 5:15 P.M. You don’t have to make a reservation… Just come as you are! (605 Reynolds St. Augusta, GA 30901).

Our next date there will be August 8th. Please continue to pray for my mom… Specifically that she will be able to walk on her own, and that she will be able to play music with us again. It has been 8-months that she has suffered with ailments! We miss the huge, one-of-a-kind sound that she brings to The Family Fold. We want our feisty, tough-cookie Ricie back!

God bless you, and always remember… GOD LOVES YOU!!!

Celebrating Dad today and the miracles Jesus did for him!

May 27, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

May 27th, 1997 is a special day because Patrick Eubanks rededicated his life to Jesus Christ! God spared his life when he nearly died from pneumonia. He had ARDS... It was scary.

I love my dad, and I am so thankful that God kept him in my life. At the time, I was only 9-years-old, and didn’t play a musical instrument at all. Without Dad’s influence, I wouldn’t be a multi-instrumentalist or leader of The Family Fold. I probably wouldn’t have had the blessing of knowing you either.

We serve a God who is mighty to save us... Spiritually, and physically,

too ! Today we especially celebrate that, and I pray that this story will encourage you in your faith.

Please keep on praying for Mom…

April 18, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

IMG_1972.jpeg

Please keep on praying for Mom. We are grateful that she got well enough to be back home with us. Physical therapists come to work with her at least three times a week here at home, and they want to keep that schedule going for the next 7-weeks. But Mom still needs healing and strengthening from The Lord. This morning, she fell. Her right foot twisted, but she has it propped up now. Mom has had diabetic neuropathy for a few years, but it was never bad feeling, just a little bit of tingling in her left foot. But after meningitis back in February, the diabetic neuropathy got worse and moved to the right side. It seems like over these past four days, she can’t feel things with her right foot like she normally would. So please keep praying for Mom. She needs God’s healing from head to toe so she can get back to playing that bass, running that sound board, telling The Family Fold what to do (haha!), and going back to her nursing work at the hospital so she can help others in their time of need.

I am so thankful for all of the birthday wishes from my friends & family this past week! I hope that next year we can all celebrate together like old times at my birthday pickin’ party... Tons of music, loads of cake, and lots of love!

This photo was last year’s cake... A surprise gift from a friend to commemorate me coming through open heart surgery. Every year and every day is a blessing from God!

Masters Week Memories of Mimmie

April 10, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

IMG_1930.jpeg

What I miss most of all this Masters Week is Mimmie. Here we are in 2019 at Club Magnolia, our last normal Masters Week before the COVID pandemic would change everything. Mimmie was always very proud for our band to play for Club Magnolia. We started out playing for the club in 2007, in the azalea bushes, haha! We are so proud of how the club has grown through the years, and we are grateful to have been a part of it. Here’s to 2022 at Club Magnolia!

IMG_1931.jpeg
IMG_1897.jpeg

The flowers are blooming beautifully at Mimmie’s house this Masters Week. I know she is enjoying the gorgeous flowers in Heaven now.

While going through Mimmie’s things, I found a stack of these poems that I had typed and printed for her. She always kept these on hand to send with sympathy cards for people during their time of bereavement. I always regarded this poem as beautiful and comforting, but it has taken on greater meaning for me now that Mimmie is in Heaven. Reading this poem was like Mimmie & Jesus were giving me a reminder I needed.

IMG_1932.jpeg

In closing, we’d like to leave you with a little video that captures some of our favorite memories from The Family Fold performing at Club Magnolia for Masters Week.

And we’d like to keep our Masters Week tradition, and send this song out to our friend, Tom… “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”

Easter Weekend Encouragement + Mom’s Home!

April 03, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

Eryn’s Easter Encouragement (that’s good for anytime of the year).

IMG_1900.jpeg

We are happy to report that after nearly 13-days there, Mom made it home from the acute rehab facility! She is doing better than what she was, but we want y’all to still please pray hard for her. Currently she has to have someone with her 24/7because she is still needing to build up her strength and balance. She is having to make use of the walker and wheelchair. For those of y’all who know Mom, you know that is quite different than how she was 5-months ago when she was an Assistant Nurse Manager at University Hospital (where she’s worked for nearly 35-years), prior to her cervical spine surgery. We only tell you this so you will continue to intercede for her. We are grateful for every prayer that y’all have said for us along the way. We are thankful to God, and we are trusting in Him to restore her health... In Jesus’ Name!

God is still good all the time, and we are praying that you have a peaceful & Spirit-filled Easter. May your hope & strength be renewed.

After 11-days in the hospital and waiting for this moment since last weekend, I am happy to report that Mom has arrived at the acute rehab facility. Thank God, and thank you all for your prayers for her!

We are praying that this will be a new season for her, filled with calm and renewed strength.

Tranquility and rejuvenation... Maybe Mom’s beautiful flute will refresh you this evening (“Chopin Ballade”).

Thanks again for caring & praying! We send our love & prayers for each one of you.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from The Family Fold! ☘️ Thanks be unto God, we have had some fun Irish holidays celebrating with y’all these past 20-years. We pray for many more! The photos above are highlights from those festivals.

As for today, I am at the hospital with my mom. She has been here for 10-days now. Thank y’all for praying for her, and please continue to do that. When she leaves the hospital, she will go to an acute rehab facility. Her body has been trying to heal for nearly 5-months since her cervical spine surgery. In the saga of one problem after another, her muscles have weakened tremendously. In rehab, she will work on building her muscles back up so she can walk again.

The photos below are from today, St. Patrick’s Day 2021. This is our view from day #10 of Mom in the hospital. When I haven’t been playing case manager for Mom, I’ve been playing the mandolin for her. Now back to calling rehab and the insurance companies again and again and again and again...

Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy these Celtic tunes from The Family Fold. You can find many more on our YouTube channel, so please check it out & subscribe...

I love The Bible because…

March 11, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

The radio program, “Thru The Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee,” wanted its listeners to send in short videos of why they love the Bible. I didn’t want to miss the deadline or procrastinate any longer, so I filmed this clip in my mom’s hospital room. Not the most ideal setting, I know... But then I thought that such a setting could be a testimony of how God is with us in every setting of our lives. Thank You, Lord, that You don’t leave us when things aren’t “ideal” in our lives... Nothing can ever separate us from His love! I hope this quick video is an encouragement to you.

It’s been a year… Quite a year!

March 09, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

IMG_1532.jpeg

It’s been a year since our family & band has had a “normal” weekend. (“Normal” = “Musical,” for us. Thanks be to God, gigging is what we did every weekend for 20-years.)

We still don’t know when our “normal” will return, but know that our hearts are with you all, and we will strive to keep bringing music & spiritual encouragement to you during this continued physical hiatus.

My “virtual” world has expanded, and with The Good Lord’s help, I hope to kick it up more for what one of our dear friends calls “The Family Fold Nation.”

Please continue to pray for Ricie. She was admitted to the hospital on Monday, and she will have several tests on Wednesday. Thank y’all for caring about her and remembering her in your prayers.

Love, Prayers, & Immense Gratitude for You All.

Sing “Angel Band,” haha!

February 23, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

IMG_1568.jpeg

😂 Mom & I are ready to get back to this kind of dialogue, haha! 😂 Seriously, Mom loves “Angel Band.” (She originally picked that song for our band to do when we got started 20-years ago.) I think Mom would be happy to play any old favorite tune that I want to pick on my mandolin, no matter how many times we’ve played it already. 💕

This video of “Angel Band” was made in 2013 at The Family Fold’s “Acoustic Coffeehouse Sessions” at the church I grew up in, Bible Deliverance Temple. Our beloved friend, the late Hugh Handley, captured this video (and hundreds of other music videos) for his YouTube channel. We are grateful for him doing this, and that we can look back in time today.

Mimmie’s Burial

On Monday, February 8th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M., Mimmie was buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park (Augusta, GA). We don’t know when, but one day - Good Lord willing - we will have her a big celebration of life service (on a Saturday, like she requested), with lots of flowers (like she always hoped for), and we want everyone to come out to it and fellowship. You know I’ll keep you posted on that date!

Meanwhile, I did place a bouquet on her grave that day... Oh, how I miss her!

I brought home her Bible and her favorite devotional book, “Unto The Hills,” written by Billy Graham. Mimmie had not been home to read these things since January 17th. What is wild is that the ribbon in her daily devotional book was placed on February 8th (the day she was buried). Below you’ll find photos of the devotional. I believe The Lord (and Mimmie) wanted me to read that. Thank You, Jesus, for personally giving me such comfort that day! I hope this reading brings comfort and hope to you, too.

Mimmie’s Obituary

February 08, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

IMG_1458.jpeg

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Emmie Joyce Eubanks, 80, wife of the late Billy Eubanks.

Emmie (“Mimmie”) was born in Augusta, Georgia and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; and she loved Doberman Pinschers, too. She was a school patrol guard and worked for the Richmond County School System for 10 years.

She was the matriarch of Eryn Eubanks & The Family Fold (music band) and a member of Bible Deliverance Temple Church for many decades. She volunteered cheerfully at the church - working in the kitchen and nursery, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and being a part of the church’s prayer chain. She led worship services at several nursing homes with her friends. They would play the music, and she would preach the Bible message. She was a humble soul that would step up to testify. She said that she always felt like she could at least say what The Lord had done for her. She was faithful to visit the sick and shut-ins, and her thoughtfulness touched so many people through her personal greeting card ministry. As long as there was breath in her body, she was a prayer warrior for her family, friends, and their loved ones. She genuinely cared. She never forgot anyone. She was a “Mimmie” to a lot of folks!

Family members include her three sons: the late London G. Eubanks, Vincent K. Eubanks, Patrick V. Eubanks (Durand “Ricie”); grandchildren: Eryn Eubanks Miller (Greg), London G. Eubanks, Jr. (Sarah), Connor D. Eubanks; great-granddaughter: Skylar Grace Eubanks; sisters: Elizabeth Perry (Don) and Shirley Doyle (Glynn).

A private burial was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will announce a public celebration of life service. Look for postings on Facebook and eryneubanks.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick St., Augusta, GA 30904.

In Memory of Mimmie - “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder, I’ll Be There.”

February 03, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

My Mimmie went to Heaven today. For the past 18-days, she endured in the hospital.  We are extremely grateful for y’all praying for Mimmie. Your prayers were a great comfort to her and to us.

Please keep on praying for our family. Not only are we dealing with this, but Mom is still having a rough time. Today she had an MRI of her brain, and she will have a spinal tap tomorrow.

Thank you again for all of your prayers, and we will keep y’all posted.

We send this song out for Mimmie. It’s one of her favorites... “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder, I’ll Be There.”

With Love & Gratitude for You All...
Eryn & Greg
Ricie & Patrick

“Let us labor for The Master from the dawn to setting sun... Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care... Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done... And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.”

“Keep On The Sunny Side,” and please keep praying for our family!

February 01, 2021  /  Eryn Eubanks

Sorry to have been out of touch for a while. January 2021 was full of stress for our family.

We are grateful for all of your prayers for Mom. Pain still flares up on her road to recovery, but we’re thankful that the doctors say that she’s looking good. I think that having her surgery on the cervical spine is tougher than the open heart surgery I went through. It’s only been 3-months since Mom’s surgery, so I am prayerful and hopeful that time will bring about more healing and comfort.

We ask that you please pray hard for my grandmother, “Mimmie.” She is in the hospital due to COVID and pneumonia. Please pray that her breathing can get stronger, that her lab levels will get better, and that she can come home. Mimmie being alone in the hospital and battling this sickness has made me feel like a dark cloud has been hanging over me.

And that’s why I’m sharing a Family Fold favorite, “Keep On The Sunny Side.”

“Clouds and storm will in time pass away, and the sun again will shine bright and clear.”

Thank y’all for praying for us!

“Let us greet with the song of hope each day, though the moment be cloudy or fair. Let us trust in our Savior always... He’ll keep us, everyone, in His care.”
